Cabernet Franc Vertical Tasting

What better way to celebrate Winterfest than with a glass, or four, of delightful Long Island wine? Bedell Cellars is a jewel in the crown of Long Island wineries. Family owned and sustainably farmed, this vintner has produced wines of such high caliber, they’ve been served at some of the most prestigious events in the country — including the 2013 presidential inaugural celebrations.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on February 26, Bedell’s Assistant Winemaker, Marin Brennan, will lead an intimate tasting of Cabernet Franc spanning four vintages. While reds such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir have spent years in the spotlight, Cabernet Franc is coming into its own as a single varietal. Particularly known for its smooth, fruity and herbaceous character, Cabernet Franc is a more delicate and elegant wine, perfect for pairing with pasta, poultry and pork dishes.

As part of the tasting experience, you’ll enjoy a cellar tour and the opportunity to exchange tasting notes and savor local cheeses while learning more about this shining varietal. Tickets are priced at $60 per person and seating is limited, so reserve your space now by visiting the website at
