43rd Annual Polish Town Fair and Festival
This weekend in Riverhead everyone is Polish! This festival is bursting with energy and includes a giant open air market with vendors, Polish delicacies like pierogies, kielbasa & babka, Polish beer, Polka music, Polish dancers & carnival rides.
Admission is free! The street fair begins at 10am to 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday. At noon there is a reenactment of a traditional Polish wedding on the steps of St. Isidore’s Church, which is followed by a parade through Polishtown lead by Miss Polish Town USA. The annual Polka Dance Festival is from 5pm to 11pm under the pavilion at Poloniase Park; admission is $13 for adults & $8 for children under 12. Featuring music by Mike Costa and The Beat.
Polish Town, is a neighborhood in Riverhead, known for the immigrant community which settled there over a century ago. It is home to many Polish deli’s, restaurants and of course, the annual Polish Town Fair. Find out more info on their Facebook page.
