The Hampton Classic Horse Show
See and be seen at The Hampton Classic Horse Show, one of the largest outdoor horse shows in the United States. Held in high regard by the horse community, the show is famous for its Hamptons celebrity sightings & high end shopping boutiques, it is a great way to send off summer.
The show features some top competition. It will host the year-end finals of the very popular Young Jumper Championships, where 5, 6, 7 & 8 year old horses compete in their respective divisions for their top prize of the season. As the first US stop in the East Coast World Cup League, you will see some of the top jumpers riders from around the world, coming to compete for coveted spots on the World Cup Finals squad & some of the richest prize money offered in the country. But it’s today, Opening Sunday, on the beautiful grass of the Grand Prix Ring, you will find probably the tensest competition all week, the infamous Hampton Classic Leadline, judged by Olympic Gold medalist Joe Fargis.
The Hampton Classic runs from August 27 - September 3. Don’t miss, Kid’s Day at the Hampton Classic on Saturday, September 2 featuring children's activities throughout the day. Kids under the age of 12 receive a complimentary pony ride. There are also circus performers, face painting and a magician.
General Admission is $10 per person (free on Monday) or $20 per carload. Seniors are free Tuesday-Thursday; Kids are free Saturday. Reserved Seats for Grand Prix Sunday: $35 per person for bucket seating in Sections A & E or $45 per person for bucket seating in Sections B, C, D. Parking for the show is free.
