Starry Nights Recital

Being relatively close to New York City has its advantages for this terrific theater, located on the campus of Stony Brook University, which draws talent from all over the world. The Stony Brook location also has advantages for the audience, which gets to enjoy New York City-quality shows without all the New York City congestion – as well as practically daily entertainment produced by the school’s excellent departments of art, music, and theater arts.

Starry Nights is a staple of the Staller Center schedule, and the November show shouldn’t disappoint. A star-studded ensemble comes together in the more intimate Recital Hall (380 seats, as opposed to the 1000+ seat Main Stage) to play a mix of chamber music, with Colin Carr as the Artistic Director. November’s Starry Nights features an eclectic evening of music with classical, contemporary and more. Ludwig Thuille, sextet for piano and wind quintet, will join Colin Carr, cellist; and others. The program promises surprises as well as unforgettable music.

Concert starts at 8:00 pm; tickets are $38. Book online at
