Long Island Restaurant Week
There aren’t many occasions when you can go out with a group of family and friends, split the check evenly and have everyone think it’s fair – but starting April 22, Long Island has just the thing.
For Long Island Restaurant Week (April 22 – 29), many of the Island’s finest restaurants — Italian, Indian, French, Cajun, Mexican, American, Greek, Japanese, Cuban and more — offer a three-course prix-fixe dinner for only $28.95 per person. It’s a great opportunity to discover new places without worrying about the expense, and to dine at some of Long Island’s finest restaurants before the hordes of summer visitors descend.
This year, over hundreds of restaurants in the East End, and across Suffolk and Nassau counties are participating, each offering a choice of at least three appetizers, three entrees and three desserts. The eateries can be found on the Restaurant Week website (www.longislandrestaurantweek.com), categorized by geography, and listing their telephone number and type of cuisine. Many have already posted their Restaurant Week menus; some have links to the Open Table reservation system so you can book a table online.
Beverages and gratuities are not included, but good times and great dishes are.
