Mother’s Day Brunch Cruise

So Mom wanted a cruise for Mother’s Day? Well, just because you can’t afford a week’s sail around the Caribbean doesn’t mean you can’t grant her request. Give her a Mother’s Day Brunch about the Sapphire Princess.

Unlike many Long Island cruise boats, which are combination fishing boats and party charters, The Sapphire Yacht is a 132 passenger luxury yacht used only for parties and events. It’s a floating catering hall, offering plush, comfortable interiors with large windows for a picturesque view of the passing scenery. It sails from Seabreeze Park at the foot of the famous Freeport Nautical Mile on the South Shore of Long Island.

Come on board for Mother’s Day at 10 am, and they’ll treat you to a three-hour bay cruise with all the fixings. The buffet ranges from breakfast goodies (muffins, fruit, scrambled eggs and bacon) to Chicken Franchaise and a carving station. The price includes an open bar with beer, wine and soda, plus buffet dessert with coffee and tea. If you’d rather celebrate later, there’s another Mother’s Day Brunch Cruise (2pm-5pm) with assorted hors d’oeuvres.

Cost is $70 per adult; $60 seniors (65+); $55 teens (15-20), $45 children 12 and under (children under 3 are free), with New York Sales tax and 18% service fees additional. Reservations are required; pre-pay tickets in advance by calling (516) 623-5823.
