Salon Series at Parrish Art Museum
Parrish Art Museum may not be the most special from the outside – a long house in the middle of a Hampton’s field – but on the inside, something special is always happening. And while the artwork and overall vibe warrant a visit on their own, there’s now an added inducement to visit on Fridays – the Salon Series.
The Salon Series is a series of approximately hour-long Friday evening (6 pm, no intermission) concerts, featuring young award-winning musicians from around the globe. The programs are designed to excite and introduce the classical repertoire, have been co-programmed with Concert Artists Guild and Pro Musicis, two organizations that nurture and promote the world's finest concert musicians.
This Friday, May 18, New Docta Ensemble take the stage who will present an exciting program exploring music from Argentina, from classical to contemporary and folk to tango. Tickets are $25, which includes the usual $10 (adults) museum admission. If you can’t make this Friday, there's other Salon Series performances on May 4 and May 11.
