Tulip Tour & Tea
Ready for Spring? You're invited to attend this beautiful spring family event, Tulip Tour & Tea, at Hofstra University. Just in time to celebrate Mother's Day early with Mom and Grandma.
Patrice Dimino, landscape designer and assistant curator, will host indoor discussions on the history of tulips. Fred Soviero, director of the grounds, and Elizabeth Dysart, Hofstra University Museum director of education and engagement, will lead tours of Hofstra's arboretum and outdoor sculptures with their tulips at their peak.
Families are also invited to enjoy a variety of teas and sweets while attending the always-fascinating photographic history of Hofstra lecture by Geri Solomon, Hofstra archivist. Tea will be held from 1 - 2:30 pm. If the weather is nice, you will be able to view Hofstra’s campus as well as most of the Long Island (and even have a glimpse of Manhattan) from the 10th floor of the Axinn Library. You don't want to miss Hofstra's campus at its most beautiful!
Admission is $10 per person. Register by April 20, 2018. Space is limited. No refunds will be issued. Register online or call 516-463-4698.
