Dine & Sail on Oyster Sloop Priscilla

There's no end of boat rides in and around Long Island, but if you’re into a genuine experience, you’ll want to join the Long Island Maritime Museum’s Oyster Sloop Priscilla this Friday at 4 pm for a Dine & Sail weekend.

The Priscilla is the flagship of the museum, plying the same waters she did when she worked harvesting oysters in the 19th century. Captain Mike Caldwell and her all-volunteer crew are taking her on a relaxing sail on the Great South Bay. The Dine & Sail package includes a $30 voucher per person towards a lunch or dinner at the Snapper Inn Restaurant in Oakdale, valid on the day of the sail. The sail will take 2 hours, depending on the winds, and Captain Mike will share the history of the boat and its two-year restoration along the way.

Places for the sail are extremely limited. There’s no food and drink on board, but you can bring your own. Tickets are $75 for adults (13-61), $65 for seniors (62+), and $20 for kids 3-12, and include admission to the Long Island Maritime Museum, which can be used within one week of the sail.  If you can’t make Friday's sail, the Museum offers regular 2-hour tours and other sails online.
