Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival

By the middle of June, the North Fork strawberry crop is reaching its peak and bursting with flavor. And for one extended weekend, June 14th through 17th, at the peak of the strawberry harvest, the Mattituck Lions Club invites you to celebrate.

This is the 64th year for the festival, which is a great family (no alcohol) event. Dig into the strawberry shortcake, sample the strawberries dipped in chocolate, try the strawberries any way you like them. Head over to the rest tent to enjoy live music. Find out what’s available for sale from arts and craft vendors. Experience the midway rides. Taste foods from around the world. If you attend on Saturday, you can even see the new Strawberry Queen crowned. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the sunset…and subsequent fireworks.

Admission is free on Thursday, Friday is just $5 (children 5 and under free), when the fair is open from 5-11 PM. (Saturday hours are 11 to 11; Sunday 11 to 5 PM, when Dads – it is Father’s Day – are admitted free.) While you can buy individual ride tickets, it may be best to splurge on the pay-one-price ride bracelet, which is $25 per person on Thursday and $30 for Friday. Don’t miss the "Grand Finale" Fireworks Show at 10:15pm (weather permitting) on Saturday.
