Twilight Tours at LongHouse Reserve

Leisurely stroll through the garden on this small-guided tour by a member of the Long House Garden Committee. At dusk, enjoy a glass of wine and the plantings & artwork in the most favorable light.

Long House Reserve is a 16-acre garden with established lawns, ornamental borders, plant collections and outdoor sculpture planned by the internationally recognized textile designer, Jack Lenor Larsen. Mr. Larsen, with the recommendations of the LHR Art Committee has assembled a collection of over 90 sculptures which grace the garden. These include ceramics & bronzes by Toshiko Takaezu, bronzes by Constantino Nivola, Dale Chihuly’s “Blue Cobalt Spears”, Buckminster Fuller’s “The Fly’s Eye Dome”, Yoko Ono’s “Play It By Trust”, Willem de Kooning’s “Reclining Figure”, Sol Le Witt’s “Irregular Progression”, Magdelena Abakanowicz’s “Rabdomante”, Eric Fischel’s “Tumbing Woman” and a gravity defying kinetic sculpture by Takashi Soga.

Reservations required. The LongHouse Reserve Twilight Tour is $30 per person, $55 for two, from 6:00-8:00pm. Enjoy a romantic evening for two or treat your out-of-town guests to an unforgettable night.
