Harbes Family Farm Sweet Corn Festival
Summer on Long Island’s North Fork isn’t just wineries – it’s filled with a bounty of local fruits and vegetables: juicy tomatoesand delicious corn. And Harbes Family Farm knows just how to celebrate – with a BBQ staple in a fun, family-friendly environment that includes live music from local bands. You can even indulge your competitive streak by joining in on the farm’s famous roast corn eating contest, where you’ll go head to head with other families to see who can eat the most ears of corn!
Throughout the day, the farm will provide special activities to engage and excite the kids: the Farm’s Barnyard Adventure, which takes guests on a singing hayride tour of the farm, allowing children to meet sheep, goats, pigs, and adorable baby animals, a pig race, and even the Jumbo Jumpers (bounce pillows included) or brand-new playgrounds. The adults in your group can also relax and enjoy Harbes Wine Bar, which offers tastings of the award-winning wines (try Harbes Signature Blanc De Blancs )made by the farm.
The Sweet Corn Festival takes place on Saturday, July 20th and Sunday, July 21st from 10 am to 6:00 pm. The event is free for both kids and adults, including joining the Roast Corn Eating Contest. Admission to the Barnyard Adventure costs an additional $19.95 (children under two are free) and can be purchased day-of. Parking is free and first come, first serve, so make sure to arrive early.
