Sagtikos Manor Classic & Antique Car Show
Sagtikos Manor is a classic in itself, a stately home constructed over three centuries ago which once served as British Military Headquarters during the Revolutionary War. But in the late morning and early afternoon of July 14, the grounds become the location of classics of another kind: classic cars.
The Classic and Antique Car Show at Sagtikos Manor features some of the most beautiful vintage automobiles on Long Island. Take a spin through hundreds of cars from every era as you stroll through the manor’s beautiful grounds, all set to the soundtrack of live music by local band Heat Wave. If you’re a bit of a gearhead, feel free to chat up the owners, restorers, and fellow auto-enthusiasts, and don’t forget to vote for your favorite set of wheels in the People’s Choice Awards.
For those who want to step even farther back in history, tours of the Manor House Museum are also available throughout the day. Tour guides in period dress will lead you through a wide variety of historic artifacts, furniture, and period architectural features that span the 1600s all the way through the mid-1900s, showing the rich history of the estate and of Long Island itself.
The Sagitos Manor Classic and Antique Car show takes place on Sunday, July 14th from 11 am to 3 pm. The event is $5 for adults and $3 for kids, students, and seniors, with children under 5 admitted for free. If it so happens you have a classic car you’d like to bring, registering the car is only $10 on the day of the event.
