Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm

Rather than picking your jack o'lantern off the shelf at the grocery store, why not head into the pumpkin patch yourself, where you’ll be able to select your perfect gourd right off the vine? For that, Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm is the perfect destination, bringing together all the best elements of fall in one scenic spot.

Beyond the pumpkin patch, Stakey’s offers a number of great family attractions. You can kick back with a glass of cider on the fall hayride, which will take you through Stakey’s 26 acres of farmland. If you’re looking for more of a challenge, you and your family can wander the 3-acre corn maze, where you’ll answer trivia questions to find your way out. Your kids will love the Scooby Doo themed bounce house and face painters, and you’ll love the country store and flower house, where you can pick up seasonal blooms and fresh kale and cabbage grown right on the farm. There’s also a snack shack on site offering seasonal treats like roasted corn and freshly-made cider donuts to complete the weekend!

Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm is open weekdays from 12 to 5 pm; weekends and school holidays from 9 to 5 pm. Admission is free;  the corn maze and hayrides are $7 per person. As for pumpkins, you can buy all the pumpkins you can carry from the patch for $40. (Stakey’s also sells all the pumpkin carving tools and Halloween accessories you’ll ever need, so your Halloween display will be the talk of the neighborhood.)

Stakey’s is open rain or shine, but make sure to call ahead if the weather looks bad to see what attractions are available for the day.  Dogs are always welcome.
