Long Island Comedy Festival
The Long Island Comedy Festival isn’t exactly a festival – it’s a continuously rotating showcase of some of the top comedians in the land, all of whom hail from Long Island, playing the top venues in Nassau and Suffolk counties. And if you want to catch the act – er, acts – try the Arglye Theatre at Babylon Village on November 9.
The evening’s lineup is a who’s who of the New York comedy scene and beyond, with talent who have played big clubs like Caroline’s and the Laugh Cellar. National headliners Rich Schultis, Bryan McKenna, Bill McCarty, and Carie Karvas (star of televisions “Kevin Can Wait”) will share the stage for one unforgettable night (along with a surprise guest.)
The Argyle Theater is one of the top spots on Long Island for stand-up comedy, as well as a premier destination for live theater. The historic theater has been in operation since the 1920s and hosts plays, musicals, live music, and comedy acts year-round.
The Long Island Comedy Festival takes place on Saturday, November 9th at 8 pm, with doors opening at 7. Tickets are $45 for orchestra seats and $35 for balcony seats and can be purchased online in advance.
